Cathy MacNeil-Hollinger

 

Cathy MacNeil-Hollinger has spent her career in nonprofit management, primarily in the theatre, with extensive experience in strategic planning; board leadership; financial management; executive searches; program development; fundraising and special events.  Cathy first served on the Mosaic Theater's Board for its inaugural year, and in 2021 she served on the theater’s Artistic Director Search Committee.  She rejoined the Mosaic Board in January 2022. Previously, Cathy served for 12 years on the Woolly Mammoth Theater Board including four years as Board President, and served on the Artistic Director Search Committee to replace retiring founding Artistic Director Howard Shalwitz. She has been a member of the Yale School of Drama's Board of Advisors since 2008 and is Treasurer of the Board of The Avalon Theatre, DC’s only nonprofit movie theater, for which she led its 2022 Let's Go Solar! project and fundraising campaign.  Past professional positions include Associate Managing Director of the Yale Repertory Theatre; Director of Membership Services for the Alliance of Resident Theatre/New York; Associate Managing Director of Music-Theatre Group; Managing Director of Library Theatre; and Director of Member Services at the Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship at the University of Maryland, where she conceived and produced the Center’s first conference for women entrepreneurs. Education: MFA in Theater Management, Yale School of Drama; MBA, Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland; BA, Colgate University.
