Jabari Exum (ensemble and Sound Designer) is an electrifying percussionist and HipHop theater artist from Washington, DC. Since 1997, he has been a pioneering force in the “HipHop Theater” movement, bringing a unique, unconventional approach to his work. Jabari has been acting, drumming, rapping, and exploring martial arts, gymnastics, and dance since age 2, guided by notable mentors like Debbie Allen, Chadwick Boseman, and KRS-One. Recently, he served as the Movement Coach and Lead Djembe player for Marvel’s Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. His newest creation is called ‘Percussion Theater’ (a community Drum cypher-class and Interactive Mediation Concert) focused on healing Human Beings through sound!
