Hannah Khalil (Director; she/her) was the 2022 Resident Writer at Shakespeare’s Globe in London; her work there includes Hakawatis: Women of the Arabian Nights, Henry VIII and The Fir Tree (2021 and 2022). Hannah’s other stage plays include: A Museum in Baghdad (Royal Shakespeare Company), which marked the first play by a woman of Arab heritage on a main stage at the RSC; Interference (National Theatre of Scotland); and the critically acclaimed Scenes from 68* Years (Arcola Theatre, London), which was shortlisted for the James Tait Black Award. Scenes has also been mounted in San Francisco, New York, France, and in Tunisia in a British Council supported production called Trouf. Hannah has written radio plays for BBC Radio 4. TV work includes multiple episodes of the Channel 4 drama Hollyoaks. She held the Heimbold Chair of Irish Studies at Villanova University in 2021, is a Creative Fellow of the Samuel Beckett Research Centre, a resident writer at Golden Thread Productions in San Francisco, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. Jennifer Barclay is a DC-based actor-turned-playwright. Her play Ripe Frenzy won the National New Play Network (NNPN) Smith Prize for Political Theatre and the Dramatists Guild Fund Writers Alliance Grant. Ripe Frenzy was developed at MacDowell, Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, the Ojai Playwrights Conference, and NNPN/PlayPenn. It had a 2018 NNPN Rolling World Premiere at New Repertory Theatre in Boston, Synchronicity Theatre in Atlanta, and Greenway Court Theatre in LA. Her other plays include Hot Little Slice (featured in the 2023 Round House Theatre National Capital New Play Festival); Housebound; Obscura; Freedom, NY; The Human Capacity; Danny; Red Helen; The Attic Dwellers; Eat It Too; and she is in the midst of developing a trilogy set in the national parks which includes: Yellowstone, This Profound Abyss (set in Yosemite), and Behave Yourself (set in Glacier, with a March 2023 reading at Signature Theatre). Also in development: a play about the pacifist Alabama Quaker resettlement in Costa Rica; a smash-up intersection between the worlds of women’s basketball and compassionate surrogate pregnancies titled Possession; and Bacchanal, a digital-in-person hybrid interactive, immersive, promenade party-play. Jennifer’s plays have been produced and developed by Woolly Mammoth, Steppenwolf Theatre Company, La Jolla Playhouse, The Old Globe, REDCAT, The Kennedy Center, Baltimore Center Stage, Round House Theatre, Signature Theatre, Ojai Playwrights Conference, New Harmony Theatre, Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company, Andy’s Summer Playhouse, American Blues Theater, International Theatre Vienna, and Edinburgh Festival Fringe, among others. Other awards include: Samuel Goldwyn Writing Award, The Kennedy Center National Science Playwriting Award, Pinter Review Gold Medal, and the BETC New Generations Award. Jennifer is a two-time MacDowell Fellow, and has also been a fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and the Hawthornden International Writers Retreat in Scotland. She has been a playwright in residence at South Coast Rep, Baltimore Center Stage,and Arena Stage. She has a Bachelor’s in Theatre from Northwestern University and an MFA in Playwriting from UC San Diego, where she studied with Naomi Iizuka. She is proud to be an NNPN Affiliated Artist, a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, and an Associate Professor of Playwriting and Performance at the University of Maryland.

Jared Mezzocchi (Director) is a two-time Obie Award-winning theater artist, working as a director, multimedia designer, playwright, and actor. Mezzocchi’s work has appeared at notable theaters nationwide, including The Kennedy Center, Geffen Playhouse, Arena Stage, Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company (Company Member), Manhattan Theater Club, Vineyard Theatre, En Garde Arts, HERE Arts Center, Portland Center Stage, Cleveland Play House, South Coast Rep, GEVA Theatre Center, and many more. In 2016, he received his first Obie Award, Lucille Lortel Award, and Henry Hewes Design Award for his work in Qui Nguyen’s Vietgone at Manhattan Theatre Club. In 2020, The New York Times spotlighted his multimedia innovations alongside the pandemic work of four other theater artists, including Andrew Lloyd Webber and Paula Vogel. His directorial work on Sarah Gancher’s live-digital production Russian Troll Farm was also celebrated as a New York Times Critic’s Pick, and praised for being one of the first digitally native successes for virtual theater. In 2023, this digital production of Russian Troll Farm won Jared his second Obie Award as director and multimedia designer.

Mezzocchi is a two-time MacDowell Artist Fellow, a 2012 Princess Grace Award winner, and an Associate Professor at The University of Maryland, where he created the curriculum for the multimedia track within the MFA Design program. Mezzocchi has a BA in theater and film from Fairfield University, and an MFA in performance and interactive media arts from Brooklyn College.

He grew up in New Hampshire, and returns every summer to serve as Producing Artistic Director of Andy's Summer Playhouse, an innovative children’s theater producing original work by professional artists from across the country.

Alina Collins Maldonado is an artist originally from the DC area. As an actor, selected credits include Everybody at Shakespeare Theatre Company, BLKS at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, Jardín Salvaje and El Paso Blue at GALA Hispanic Theatre, King John at Folger Theatre, and world premieres of Digging Up Dessa and Where Words Once Were at The Kennedy Center and Lincoln Center. Alina most recently directed Imagination Stage’s touring show Óyeme, the beautiful and Theater Alliance's production of A Chorus Within Her. As a theater educator, Alina builds programs and workshops guiding artists in creating and producing their work. She creates theater extensively with students from ESOL classes and backgrounds. As an artist, her work focuses on collecting authentic stories through interviews and workshops to uncover threads of connection between people. Jim Culleton is the Artistic Director of Fishamble: The New Play Company, for which he has directed productions on tour throughout Ireland, UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the US. His productions for Fishamble have won Olivier, The Stage, Scotsman Fringe First, and The Irish Times Best Director awards. Jim has directed for Abbey Theatre, Gaiety Theatre, Belgrade Theatre, 7:84 Theatre Company, Project, Amharclann de hÍde, Tinderbox Theatre Company, Passion Machine, The Ark, Second Age Theatre Company, Dundee Rep Theatre, CoisCéim/Crash Ensemble/GIAF, Front Line Defenders, Amnesty International, Little Museum of Dublin, Fighting Words, Scripts Festival, Dirty Protest Theatre, and Baptiste Programme. He has directed audio plays for Audible, BBC, RTÉ Radio 1, and RTÉ Lyric FM. He has also directed for Vessel and APA (Australia); Theatre Newfoundland Labrador (Canada); Solas Nua and The Kennedy Center (Washington, DC); Odyssey Theatre Ensemble (LA); and Origin, Irish Arts Center, New Dramatists, Irish Rep Theatre, and 59E59 Theaters (New York); as well as for Trafalgar Theatre Productions on the West End, and IAC/Symphony Space on Broadway.
