Naomi Jacobson has acted at most of the DC area theatres for the last 25 years. She is an Affiliated Artist at Shakespeare Theatre Company and a 25 year company member at Woolly Mammoth. DC credits include Kennedy Center, Ford’s, Arena Stage, Studio, Round House, Theatre J, Signature, Olney, Center Stage, and Wolf Trap Opera. She’s traveled regionally to the Guthrie Theatre, the Goodman Theatre, Milwaukee Rep, Cincinnati Playhouse, Arizona Theatre Company, Delaware Theatre Company, and the Berkshire Theatre Festival. Naomi’s received 3 Helen Hayes Awards, 12 nominations, the Lunt-Fontanne Fellowship, the Anderson-Hopkins Award for Excellence in Theatre, and a DC Arts Commission Individual Artist grant. She has independent film and network TV credits, voice over work includes NPR, PBS, Discovery Channel, the Smithsonian, as well as narrating recorded books. She teaches acting and public speaking at professional theatres, various Universities and Corporations.
Angelisa Gillyard is a director, choreographer and photographer based out of Washington, DC. She co-directed the Helen Hayes nominated Day of Absence with Raymond O. Caldwell at Theater Alliance. Angelisa also directed the world premieres of Welcome to Sis’ and #poolparty (Ally Theatre Company), which was recognized as a Staff Favorite by DC Metro Theatre Arts and Outstanding Production by Broadway World. She has directed plays and readings for Young Playwrights’ Theater, Arena Stage, In Series, Studio Theatre, Freshh Theatre Inc., and University of Maryland. In addition, Angelisa has choreographed musicals, plays and operas for In Series, Ally Theatre Company, and DC metro area high schools and colleges. Her choreography for Abduction from the Seraglio (In Series), was recognized as one of the “Best of 2013” by DC Metro Theatre Arts.
Sybil R. Williams is a playwright and dramaturge who currently teaches in both the Theatre/Musical Theatre Program and the Critical Race and Gender Studies Collaborative where she serves as Program Director for African American and African Disapora Studies. Her play FROM U.STREET TO THE COTTON CLUB was produced by the In-Series January 2019. An additional play, GLORIA AND RWANDA was produced by FRESHH Theatre as part of their new works development series in July 2019. Her play STORMY WEATHER, an adaptation of Shakespeare’s TEMPEST recently premiered at the Atlas Theatre in October 2019.
Shana Laski is a dramaturg, actress, and choreographer born and raised in Chicago, IL. After graduating from Wesleyan University in 2019, she spent time at Writers Theatre in Chicago working in their New Work Development, Dramaturgy, and Literary Management Departments. There, she was able to work on The Niceties in its Chicago debut as the assistant dramaturg, as well as a content contributor for A Doll's House, Stick Fly, and The Last Match. She is very excited to be relocating to DC and starting her next adventure as Mosaic's Resident Dramaturgy Fellow.
