Michael Singer

 

Michael Singer most recently served as director of product marketing for FICO, a global data analytics firm and creator of the universally recognized FICO Score. Over a four-decade career, Michael has held communications management leadership roles for leading real estate finance organizations including Fannie Mae, the Urban Land Institute and the Mortgage Bankers Association of America. In addition, as an independent consultant, he initiated communications programs for the U.S. Department of Transportation, the U.S. General Services Administration, the American Bankers Association, the American Institute of Architects and other clients. His work has been recognized with numerous industry awards including the prestigious Smithsonian Innovation Award.

Michael has served on the boards of a number of professional associations, including the Direct Marketing Association of Washington and the National Association of Real Estate Editors. He has also served on the boards of such performing arts organizations at the National Music Festival and TheatreWashington. He has been an active board member of the Edlavitch DCJCC since 2008, chairing its Literary Festival for eight years and serving as committee chair of its GLOE (Gay Lesbian Outreach Engagement) program. Michael is a founding member of the board of directors of Mosaic Theatre. He currently chairs its Nominating Committee and has also served on the theatre's Strategic Planning Committee and Executive Committee.

A native of Brooklyn, New York, Michael grew up in northern, Maryland and graduated with honors from the University of Chicago. He has completed leadership development programs at the Wharton School of Business and the UCLA Anderson School of Business. An advocate for historic preservation, Michael lives with his husband James and their dog Kenton in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, DC and in Chestertown, Maryland.
